White food grade sorghum varieties are grown to produce high quality flour for use in food products. The flour is synergistic with other flavors. Most red, bronze, brown and yellow varieties are grown for feed and industrial uses. Sweet sorghum varieties are grown for the juicy stalk used to produce sorghum syrup.
Certified food sorghums are varieties that provide the highest and most consistent food quality standards available. These varieties can be used for breads, cereals, snack foods, pastas and other items.
The white sorghum flour is processed from certified food grade white sorghum in a mill dedicated to non-gluten grains. All flour is lab test certified to be gluten free. The flour will substitute for wheat flour in cooking and baking foods. White sorghum flour is GMO-free.
